Ahmed Elmohammady‘s Hull City will travel to Manchester to take on Manchester United in the first leg of the semifinals of the English Football League Cup, while Southampton hosts Liverpool.

Hull City progressed to the semifinals after beating Newcastle 3-1 on penalties at the KC Stadium.

After Arsenal’s loss to Southampton in the quarterfinal, Elmohammady became the only Egyptian to have a chance in winning an EFL Cup medal.

Earlier this season, Manchester United handed Hull City its first defeat of the season in the third fixture of the English Premier League.

Hull City remain in all three domestic competitions in England. Elmohamady has the chance to return to Wembley after reaching the FA Cup final in 2014.

Unlike the previous stages of the EFL Cup, the semifinal will be played in two legs. The first leg will be played on January 10, while the second leg will be played on January 14.
