Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi believes that Salah add value to Roma, adding that his absence could be a double-edged sword for them.

The Egyptian winger sustained an ankle injury, after a strong challenge from Thomas Vermaelen in a training session last Wednesday and will miss Roma’s upcoming league games against Lazio, AC Milan, and Juventus.

“Salah is a great player and without doubt brings added value to the Roma side,” Simone Inzaghi said in his press conference.

“Whoever replaces him will be highly-motivated and can also help them out more in defence than Salah usually did, so his absence could well be a double-edged sword for us,” he added.

Roma currently sit second in the league with 29 points and will face fourth-placed Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday in the 15th round of the Serie A.
