Ibrahim Salah excluded from Zamalek squad against Aswan

Zamalek manager Mohamed Helmy has announced his 20-man squad set to face Aswan on Thursday in the 14th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Salah Atef ‘Rico’, Shawky El-Said, and Ahmed Gafaar returned to the squad-list after they were excluded from Helmy’s first game as a manager against El-Dakhleya, which ended in a 3-0 win for the White Knights.

The squad witnessed the absence of Mostafa Fathi, Ali Fathi, Mohamed Mosaad, Mohamed Magdi, Ahmed Dewidar, and Emmanuel Mayuka due to injury, as well as Ibrahim Salah, Islam Gamal, and Moruf Yusuf for technical reasons.

The White Knights are currently 7th in the league with 21 points from 9 matches, while Aswan sit 17th with 6 points from 13 matches.

Zamalek squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Omar Salah, Mahmoud Abdel-Monsef.

Defenders: Mahmoud Hamdy, Shawky El-Said, Osama Ibrahim, Mohamed Nassef, Hosny Fathi, Ali Gabr.

MidfieldersTarek Hamed, Ayman Hefny, Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ramzy Khaled, Ahmed Refaat, Mahmoud Dunga, Salah Rico.

Forwards: Stanley Ohawuchi, Bassem Morsi, Ahmed Gaafar.
