Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ said in recent comments that during his professional career in Europe he should have stayed in Olympique de Marseille and not move to A.S. Roma.

The current Wadi Degla football coach had an impressive journey in Europe that started in 2000 in Belgium with Gent. The striker played for different European clubs including Ajax, Celta Vigo, Marseille, A.S. Roma and Tottenham Hotspur among others.

“I chose to move to A.S. Roma from Marseille, but I should have stayed in Marseille instead,” Mido explained to Al Hayah TV channel his famous move in 2004.

The ex-zamalek player explained that his move to A.S. Roma was an emotional one because he always loved The Wolves. “It was the heart’s choice only and it affected my career afterwards. It would have been better to stay in Marseille for one more season,” he concluded.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
