Trezeguet’s Royal Mouscron appoint Mircea Rednic as manager
Royal Excel Mouscron have announced the appointment of former Standard Liege Mircea Rednic as the club’s new manager till the end of the season.
The Romanian manager was presented as the club’s manager after both sides agreed on a short-term contract as confirmed by Mouscron.
The appointment came three days after the decision to sack their former manager Glen De Boeck after a series of disappointing results.
The 54-year-old previously managed KSA’s Al Nassr as well as Gent and Standard Liege in Belgium. His previous clubs also include Dinamo Bucureşti and Rapid Bucureşti of his hometown country of Romania in which he won the Romanian League with both clubs.
Mouscron are currently occupying the 15th position with 11 points, level with the bottom of the table Westerlo who are in 16th place. In the Belgian League, only one team goes down to the second division out of the 16 teams.
It’s worth a mention that Egyptian international Mahmoud Trezeguet is currently on loan to Mouscron from his parent club RSC Anderlecht, who sit third with 31 points.
