Sobhi features, with Elneny an unused substitute in Arsenal’s 3-1 win

Elneny was an usused substitute for Arsenal, while Ramadan Sobhi featured for Stoke, in Arsenal’s 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium. 

Mohamed Elneny’s Arsenal managed to secure an important win, as the Gunners now are the top of the league with Chelsea having a game in hand.

Arsenal’s starting XI: Cech; Gabriel, Mustafi, Koscienly, Monreal; Couqlein, Xhaka, Ozil; Chamberlin, Walcott, Sanchez

Stoke City’s starting XI: Grant; Pieters, Indi, Muniesa, Johnson; Allen, Imbula, Shaqiri, Diouf, Adam; Arnatouvic

Arsenal started with high intensity and high pressure, which saw the Gunners dominating and controlling the midfield area. But the Gunners defender Mustafi got injured, and was substituted with Hector Bellerin.

Arsenal’s efforts weren’t enough as the visitors won a penalty through Allen after Xhaka’s interception, which saw Charlie Adam making it 1-0 for Stoke City in the 29th minute.

The Gunners didn’t accept the fact that they are down, as they kept pushing forward until Hector Bellerin played a cross in to assist Theo Walcott in the 43rd minute  to make it 1-1.

The Gunners went into the second half pressuring Stoke City in their half, trying to secure a win which saw Ozil converting Chamberlin’s assist in the 49th minute. Later, Alex Iwobi converted Sanchez’s assist in the 75th minute to make it 3-1 to the Gunners and secure the top spot.

Ramadan Sobhi came on in the 80th minute, while Mohamed Elneny remained on bench for today’s game.
