AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio spoke recently about the upcoming clash against Roma, stating that his side need to be well prepared for the threat that Roma pose.

The Italian fullback stressed the importance of concentration for his side, stating, “The absence of Salah will not hurt them too much. They still have Edin Džeko, who is in great form. Roma play good football and have many different threats. We must remain concentrated for the full 90 minutes.”

Milan have only beaten Roma once in their past eight Serie A meetings, and have generally struggled to achieve their goals in the past few years. This has not been lost on De Sciglio, who said, “If I’m being honest, I am surprised to be in this situation. We are very eager to do well as we have not qualified for Europe in 3 years”.

De Sciglio went on to praise new manager Vincenzo Montella and in-form Milan striker, Gianluca Lapadula. The clash between the two Italian sides will take place on Monday, 20:00 GMT.
