Elmohamady features in thrilling 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace
Ahmed Elmohamady played all 90 minutes in Hull City’s pulsating 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, in the English Premier League.
It was a tale of two halves at the KC Stadium; a largely uneventful first period preceded a second 45 minutes that saw goals being scored left, right and centre.
Robert Snodgrass put the hosts in the lead in the 27th minute from the penalty spot, after the midfielder was fouled by Scott Dann inside the area.
Ahmed Elmohamady received a yellow card late in the first half, and seconds later the half-time whistle blew.
Snodgrass went from hero to villain six minutes into the second interval, as he conceded a foul inside his side’s penalty area to allow Christian Benteke to equalise from 12 yards.
Wilfried Zaha – who recently committed to the Côte d’Ivoire national team – put Crystal Palace in the lead with a fine finish in the 70th minute, as the Tigers’ hopes of securing a positive result took a significant hit.
The reply was instantaneous, however, as Adama Diomande pulled his side level just two minutes later, and Livermore made it 3-2 in the 78th minute to galvanise the home support.
Just when Hull thought they had secured the three points, Frazier Campbell popped up with an agonizingly late goal in the 89th minute to snatch a point for his side.
The result means Hull fail to climb out of the relegation zone, and they sit in 19th place in the league standings with 15 matches played.
