Hughes talks Ramadan Sobhi, defeat against Arsenal
Stoke City boss Mark Hughes claimed that there were a number of good lessons learned after losing to Arsenal as well as commenting on late Sobhi cameo.
Sobhi featured for Stoke in Arsenal’s 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium as he came on in the 80th minute. Fellow Egyptian midfielder Elneny was an unused substitute for Arsenal.
“In the past we’ve come here and struggled to get any shots on goal or get out of our own half but I think we can be reasonably pleased with what we’ve produced today,” Hughes said in post-match comments.
“We got Ramadan in the game and I thought that was important for him. He didn’t have much game time lately, I took that opportunity,” he added.
Hughes also said that he feels that Sobhi will be a good player in the future, marking him as an “important junior development.”
