Egyptian coach Adel Abdel-Rahman pointed out that there was an agreement made between him and Al-Wehda club to coach the first team as the club’s coach Kheïreddine Madoui was dismissed.

Abdel-Rahman was recently sacked by Saudi Arabian side Al Batin, following a series of disappointing results leaving the club in the 10th place after 8 rounds of the league. Now the 48-year-old manager might be returning to the Saudi Professional League again.

“All issues are almost finished with Al-Wehda. We agreed on the main terms,” Abdel-Rahman said to

The coach also said that he is currently getting ready to finish remaining travel procedures to leave Cairo and head to Mecca. He mentioned that he watched the team’s last game against Al-Hilal which was the reason behind Kheïreddine Madoui’s dismissal as the team lost 6-0.

“I want to monitor the team closely, no need to rush with radical changes. After three rounds the league will stop for 27 days, I will use these days well to treat the team’s minor errors,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that Abdelrahman is used to Saudi Arabian football as he played for Al-Wehda before retiring and coached Al-Shabab in 2014, Al-Ittihad in 2015 and Al-Batin in 2016.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
