FC Basel right back and ex-Zamalek player Omar Gaber announced in an official letter sent to the Egyptian club that he will waive his late dues.
Gaber, who started his football career with the White Knights youth team when he was five years old, moved to Basel in the summer transfer window. The player is also quite popular among the club’s fans.
The 24-year-old sent his former club a letter announcing that he will not be taking his late 700,000 EGP payment from the club. He said that he took this decision as a gesture of love and appreciation for the club that he started playing football in. “This is the least I could give Zamalek and the fans,” he concluded in the letter.
