Egypt and FC Basel right back, Omar Gaber, expressed his satisfaction with his performances in the Swiss Super League yet he is targeting better goals in the future.

Gaber returned to Cairo and was in Petrosport stadium to support his previous team Zamalek in their game against Petojet in the league, which Zamalek won 1-0. He is currently getting ready to join the national team training camp this month.

The 24-year-old who moved to Basel in the summer transfer window, said that he is glad that he was able to play with Basel in the league, cup and UEFA Europa League. “But I only participated in 12 matches, I’m not satisfied by that,” he explained. “At first I was never on the benches, this changed later and of course that was new to me.”

“The officials trust me and give me full support. It will be a problem if I stayed away from the pitch for a long time, but Basel staff know what they’re doing and there is no space for randomness in such decisions.”

“I would love to continue my career in Europe but this will only happen after completing my current mission with Basel. It’s a great team and I’m happy playing in Switzerland right now,” he concluded.
