manager  called up 11 players from overseas to join the national team’s training camp before the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

In preparation for the 2017 AFCON, Argentine manager Cúper has selected eleven players from abroad to join the Pharaohs’ camp ahead of the continental tournament in Gabon.

Currently injured Roma star Mohamed Salah has been called up, along with Premier League trio Ahmed Elmohamady (Hull City), Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal) and Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City).

Joining them are Braga’s Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’, Mouscron’s Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’, Panetolikos’s , Basel’s Omar Gaber, Al-Ahli’s Mohamed Abdel-Shafy, Ittihad’s Mahmoud Kahraba and Lens’ Karim Hafez.

The list of Pharaohs abroad did not include Barnsley’s Sam Morsy and Nacional’s Aly Ghazal.

The AFCON will be played in the period from the 14th of January until the 5th of February.

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
