Elmohamady’s Hull City continue poor form with loss to Spurs
Spurs took the lead just 14 minutes into the first-half. A beautiful passing display from the North London club sent Danny Rose in the penalty area, before he set up Christian Eriksen, who slot home from close range.
In the 34th minute, Ahmed Elmohamady tried his luck from outside the penalty box but his effort was collected by Spurs keeper Hugo Loris.
Spurs continued their dominance over the visitors in the second half, and were awarded a second goal in the 64th minute. Eriksen added his second of the night after tapping the ball into an empty net from Kyle Walker’s low cross.
Nine minutes later, Victor Wanyama secured all three points for Spurs after scoring the third for his team. Eriksen’s free kick was tipped onto the post, before Kenyan midfielder placed the ball into the empty net.
Christian Eriksen almost scored his third goal, but Hull goalkeeper David Marshall denied the Danish midfielder’s hat-trick with a brilliant save ten minutes before the final whistle, which signaled Elmohamady’s tenth league loss with Hull City this season.
Hull City remain in 19th position after Wednesday’s frutsrating night with 12 points from 16 games, just one point above Sunderland. The Tigers will travel to London again as they face West Ham United next Saturday.
