Amr Warda impressed in Panetolikos‘ 5-1 thrashing of Greece second division side Kallithea FC in the third round of the Greek Cup group stages.

The Egypt international assisted three of his side’s five goals as Panetolikos secured their qualification to the round of 16 of 2016-2017 Greek Cup.

All four teams in Panetolikos’ group had three points from two games ahead of the third round of the group stages, meaning a win for Panetolikos would’ve guaranteed qualification.

Warda had the chance to give his side an early lead after seven minutes but his shot from inside the box hit the side of the right post.

Warda directly assisted Brazilian midfielder Farley Rosa who dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored to put Panetolikos in the lead in the  15th minute.

Five minutes later, Marko Markovski headed a corner from the right side to doubled his team lead, before scoring his second goal of the match in the 28th minute through a close range finish.

Warda continued to impress after making a huge effort on the right side of the field. He played a brilliant through ball to Bauque Clesio, who added his name to the score sheet scoring his team’s fourth goal, six minutes before half time.

In the second half, Panetolikos continued their dominance and possession of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Warda regestired his third assist as he found Rosa in the penalty area, who scored his side’s last goal of the night to make it five to nothing.

Kallithea managed to score a consolation goal through Grigor Topalli six minutes before the final whistle.

Panetolikos finished the group stages on top of Group G with six points, tied on points, but having the goal difference advantage over Atromitos, who came in second place but also qualified to the next round.
