Stoke City defender hails ‘great qualities’ of Ramadan Sobhi
Stoke City defender Dionatan Teixeira praised his teammate Ramadan Sobhi, saying that the Egypt international is integrating well into the team.
Sobhi, 19, has been nominated earlier in December for the CAF Most Promising Talent of the Year award.
“Ramadan’s adaptation is going well but unfortunately in England this is not what matters most. It is necessary to be part of the group otherwise it is even more difficult. He is easily integrating because he speaks Arabic with three or four players in the squad,” Teixeira told Afrique Foot.
Ramadan has started two games this season for the Potters, one in the Premier League and another in the EFL Cup.
“He has many great qualities on the pitch and you can easily see that he will give much joy to Stoke supporters in the future. He is a great professional and he always does his best in training,” Teixeira added.
The Stoke City winger is among 11 foreign-based players who have been called up by Egypt national team manager Hector Cuper to a training camp in January for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
