Diafra Sakho out of AFCON for injury
Senegal and West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho was ruled out of AFCON as confirmed by The Hammers coach.
The 26-year-old is suffering from a back injury and will be out for at least until late January, between six to eight weeks, that means that he won’t be playing in The African Cup of Nations in Gabon which will start on the 14th of January and ends on the 5th of February.
“We have a few knocks but are expecting everyone to be fit except for Diafra Sakho who will be out for six to eight weeks. He will miss the Africa Cup of Nations and it is a big blow for us,” Slaven Bilić the club’s coach confirmed.
