“The player received a number of offers in the past period, we see him close to moving to Al-Shabab in January,” said Maqassa’s president Mohamed Abdel-Salam in radio comments. He also confirmed that Al Ahly and Zamalek both thought about buying the player before.

“We asked for $1,500,000 to sell Nana Poku to the Emirati team,” he added.

The Ghanaian striker is set to replace Dutch forward Ruud Boymans in Al-Shabab who only joined the team last June.
