Mohamed Salah features in as Roma defeat Chievo Verona
Egypt international Mohamed Salah played 82 minutes in AS Roma’s 3-1 win over Chievo Verona on Thursday evening, in Serie A action.
AS Roma created all the real chances in the opening exchanges match, but Chievo struck first through de Guzman completely against the run of play.
Nevertheless, Stephan El Shaarawy’s wonderful free-kick ensured that Roma would go into the break on level terms.
The second half went much like the first, and Dzeko scored Roma’s second goal in the 52nd minute, after great work from El Shaarawy.
In the last minute of the match, a penalty was awarded to Roma and substitute Perotti calmly scored from the spot.
The result leaves AS Roma in second place with 38 points from 18 games. Their next game will be against Genoa after the Christmas break.
Salah, meanwhile, will be absent from the squad until the conclusion of Egypt’s campaign at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
