Osama Ibrahim and Ahmed Refaat secure the three points for the White Knights after defeating Sharkia 2-0 in the 16th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

After an uneventful 20 minutes, Salah Rico broke the deadlock with a fine shot from outside the box, but the ball was saved by Sharkia’s goalkeeper, Omar Radwan.

In the 37th minute, Zamalek opened the score sheet after a wonderful pass from Mohamed Ibrahim to Osama Ibrahim who placed the ball in the net and scored his first ever goal for the White Knights.

Zamalek almost added their second before the end of the first half, after a wonderful break through from Ahmed Dewidar who shot the ball from outside the box just wide.

10 minutes into the second half, the Whites added their second goal of the night after a wonderful cross from Osama Ibrahim to find Ahmed Refaat who netted the ball and score his second goal for Zamalek.

Despite his fantastic performance scoring a goal and assisting another, Osama Ibrahim will miss the Derby against Al Ahly this week after receiving a yellow card in the 14th minute against Sharkia, which adds to three yellow cards in the past games.

Zamalek add three more points to their toll and maintain their third place in the table with two games in hand. The White Knights will face their eternal enemy, Al Ahly, in the Cairo Derby this Thursday at 19:00 CLT in the 17th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
