Ramadan Sobhi features in Stoke City’s defeat to Liverpool
Although Liverpool started the game brightly, it was Stoke City who scored the first goal as Walters headed home Erik Pieters’ cross in the 12th minute.
However, Liverpool quickly took control of the game once again, with Adam Lallana leveling the score in the 35th minute after Glen Johnson failed to clear the ball.
Right before half-time, Firmino put Liverpool ahead after his shot hit both posts before going in, scoring his 7th goal of the season.
It only got worse for the Potters after Imbula turned Divock Origi’s cross into his own net to make it 3-1 for Liverpool, and Ramadan Sobhi was introduced shortly after.
In the 70th minute, Liverpool was able to take advantage of Ryan Shawcross’ poor back pass as Sturridge scored Liverpool’s fourth goal of the game and his first Premier League goal this season.
The Potter’s next match will be against league leaders Chelsea on Saturday, December 31 at Stamford Bridge, while Liverpool will host third-placed Manchester City on the same day.
