Mohamed Elneny: I will miss Arsenal this month
Egypt international Mohamed Elneny believes that Arsenal could win the English Premier League this season, adding that he will miss the Gunners.
The 24-year-old is set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be played in Gabon from 14 January to 5 February, and he believes that Arsenal could win the Premier League.
“Thanks God for the performance and the three points. We managed to win against a stubborn team, who have really good players,” Elneny told beIN Sports after Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
“We can do something special this season, and I think we can win the league title.”
When asked about Giroud’s scorpion goal against Crystal Palace he replied: “It was world class. It’s one of the best goals I’ve ever seen in my life.
The Egyptian international has also added that his focus now is on the Egyptian national team, as the Pharaohs are preparing themselves for the Africa Cup of Nations.
“The national team consists of young players, who qualified together as a team, and the Pharaohs can make Egyptians happy through winning the title.
“I will miss Arsenal this month, but my focus will be on the Egyptian national team,” the Egyptian concluded.
Egypt will kick off their campaign against Mali on the 17th of January, then will face Uganda and Ghana on the 21st and the 25th respectively.
