Salah wins Roma’s Player of the Year award

Egypt international winger Mohamed Salah has been voted Roma’s player of the year by the club’s fans.

Giallorossi fans gave their votes on the club’s official website and the Egyptian star received the most votes of any other player, and was announced as the best player in Roma in 2016.

Bosnian forward Edin Džeko came second, while Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan was third and Argentine winger Diego Perotti came fourth.

In 2016, Salah scored a total of 19 goals for Roma and provided 13 assists, helping them finish third in the Italian Serie A as well as reaching the European Champions League round of 16.

The 24-year-old is also competing for Roma’s goal of the year award with three goals scored this year.

It’s worth mentioning that the Egyptian was also recently crowned the best Arab player by Globe Soccer Awards, beating the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani, and Mehdi Benatia.
