Sam Morsy features as Birmingham hold Barnsley at home
Sam Morsy played 90 all minutes as Barnsley wasted a two-goal lead at home to draw 2-2 with Birmingham City on Saturday, in Championship action.
Tom Bradshaw put Barnsley ahead halfway through the first period, and Sam Winnall doubled his side’s lead just five minutes later.
DR Congo midfielder Jacques Maghoma halved the deficit in the 31st minute, and the half-time whistle blew with Barnsley leading by two goals to one.
Left-back Marc Roberts conceded a penalty in the 52nd minute, and received a straight red card for his troubles, to allow Lukas Jutkiewicz to equalise for Birmingham from 12 yards.
Demotivated and playing with 10 men, Barnsley failed to find a winner that would inch them closer to the promotion play-off spots in the Championship table.
After the draw, Barnsley sit in ninth place, six points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who occupy the fourth and final play-off spot.
