Momen Soliman appointed head coach for Smouha
Smouha’s president Farag Amer announced that former Zamalek coach Momen Soliman will be the club’s new manager.
The club recently announced that the contract of current coach Helmy Toulan was terminated by mutual consent and later announced that Soliman was hired to replace him.
The 42-year-old coach will start his new job right away accompanied by Magdy Alam as general manager, assistant coach Amr Fathy, goalkeepers trainer Mohamed Salam with the continuation of the administrative staff.
Soliman had an exciting quest with the White Knights winning the Egypt Cup beating arch-rivals Al Ahly in the final and reaching the CAF Champions League final before losing 3-1 on aggregate to Mamelodi Sundowns. He will be Smouha’s third coach this season.
The Alexandria-based club is currently in fifth place with 30 points in the Egyptian Premier League.
