The Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Federation (EFA) decided to fine Al Ahly and Zamalek because of their fans’ exchange of insults.

The committee has fined Al Ahly and Zamalek 10,000 EGP each after their fans insulted each other in the game, which the Red Devils won 2-0.

Zamalek goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdel-Rahim ‘Gennesh’ was also fined 20,000 EGP for leaving the stands and going into the pitch during the Cairo Derby.

The committee has also fined the Red Devils another 10,000 EGP after their technical staff left their technical area and celebrated Junior Ajayi’s winner.

It’s worth mentioning that the match between the two giants took place on December 29, and ended with Al Ahly beating the White Knights 2-0, thanks to a double from Momen Zakaria and Junior Ajayi.
