Leicester City set to sign Nigerian midfielder Wilfried Ndidi
Leicester City look set to complete the signing of Genk midfielder Wilfried Ndidi on a five-and-a-half year deal.
The 20-year-old Nigerian international originally joined Genk from Nigerian side Nathaniel Boys, following an open trial. Ndidi has gained five caps for Nigeria to date.
Ndidi was moulded into the defensive midfielder role after starting as a central defender. His height and aggressive attitude earned him plaudits in the Belgian Pro League, including third-best young player for the 2015/2016 season.
The midfielder helped his side to reach the Europa League knockout stages, with Genk finishing top of Group F to secure their place.
The fee is reported to be around £15 million and Ndidi will wear the no.25 shirt.
Leicester have confirmed that the deal is likely to be finalized by the end of the week.
