EXCLUSIVE: Wigan Athletic recall Sam Morsy but Barnsley trigger buyout clause
Wigan Athletic have recalled Sam Morsy from his season long loan at Barnsley FC, however Barnsley offer to pay a buy out fee for the Egypt international, KingFut.com can exclusively reveal.
Sam Morsy spent the first half of the season at Championship side Barnsley, playing 14 games for Mido’s former side before being recalled by Wigan Athletic earlier in the week.
In turn, Barnsley have triggered a buyout fee for Morsy with personal terms currently being negotiated, with the intention of being finalised before the end of the week.
Two other Championship sides have made enquiries to Wigan about signing the 25-year-old midfidler.
Sam Morsy made his debut for Egypt in a friendly with Guinea in August after previously expressing his desire to represent Egypt internationally.
Morsy expressed his frustration after missing out on the African Cup of Nations squad due to a delay in finalising his military exemption.
