Reports: Bassem Morsy on multiple English clubs’ radars

Bassem Morsy

According to reports in England, Stoke City, West Bromwich and Aston Villa are all interested in Zamalek’s striker Bassem Morsy.

After being excluded from Egypt’s AFCON 2017 team and being suspended by Zamalek after not renewing his contract, it’s being revealed that the 3 English teams are interested in signing him.

Mark Hughes is already familiar with the Egyptian player market after signing Ramadan Sobhi from Al Ahly in the summer and may want to add a striker to his squad.

Aston Villa, in the Championship, sold striker Rudy Gestede to Middlesbrough earlier this month and would need to replace him.

Morsy has scored 48 goals for Zamalek since signing in summer 2014. He has won the Egyptian Premier League and 2 Egypt Cups in his time with Zamalek.

In addition to being a football/soccer and basketball enthusiast, I am currently pursuing a combined BS/MD degree at VCU. I also currently work as a Pharmacy Technician in my spare time.
