OFFICIAL: Lierse confirm Amr Barakat move to Al Ahly
Lierse football club announced on their website that the team’s midfielder Amr Barakat will be moving to Al Ahly after both clubs reached a final agreement.
The former Misr El-Maqassa player signed a three-year contract with the Belgian club in June last year. However, the 25-year-old played three games with the team before he was injured and sidelined for a few months. Now that the player is back to action he will be returning to Egypt to play for the Red Devils as his club announced.
Before his move to Belgium, the player spoke about rumors linking him to Cairo giants Al Ahly or Zamalek, saying that he would rather play abroad.
Barakat scored three goals with Lierse this season and six goals with Misr El-Maqassa in 24 matches he played with the team.
