Grant: Happy for the three points, Ghana can do better
Ghana coach Avram Grant has encouraged his team to do better after their victory against Uganda, saying that the Cranes are a tough team to play against.
The Black Stars kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 1-0 victory over Uganda to set themselves on the top of Group D after the first round.
“I am happy for the three points. We can play better, we created few chances but at the end of the day I am happy for the win,” Grant told reporters in post game press conference.
“Every game is different, Uganda is a very very tough team and it is not easy to play against them. They covered much space on the pitch and it was difficult to find space. I think our second game will be different, there won’t be any easy game in this tournament. I was also happy about how we defended the three points by the end of the game.”
“The most important thing in group stages is to take the three points but regarding the football of course we can play better.”
“Regarding Baba Rahman’s injury, we have to wait and see but it is 50-50,” Grant concluded.
