AFCON Round-up: Hosts and debutants eliminated
Group A matches have finally come to the closure with surprising turn of events as Africa Cup of Nations hosts Gabon, were eliminated from the competition.
A sad day in Libreville saw Gabon eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations, becoming the fourth country to host the competition and get eliminated from the group stages.

Guinea-Bissau, who are making their first-ever finals appearance leave Gabon with pride as well despite ending bottom of their group.
Gabon vs Cameroon
Hosts Gabon played to a scoreless draw against Cameroon. The Pathers went into the game, needing maximum points to guurante their passage to the knockout stages.
The Panthers started and finished the game lively, with Sunderland midfilder Ibrahim Didier Ndong coming so close but were denied by Cameroon goalkeeper Aggasa, which was the biggest chance all match for the hosts.
The results meant that Cameroon finished second to Burkina Faso who beat Guinea-Bissau 2-0.

A defensive blunder gifted Burkina Faso early in the match as defender Rudinilson Silva headed past goalkeeper Jonas Mendesand into his own net before on-loan Ajax forward Bertrand Traore doubled the advantage with acomposed left-footed finish.
Burkina Faso’s victory dislodges Cameroon at the top of Group A on goal difference, with both sides having equal points, five.
The two qualified teams now wait for the final standings of group B to find out their opponents.
