Croatia dominated the match from the start and maintained its lead till the match ended. Egypt tried to cut the deficit in the second half and was able to do so, however, Croatia managed to stop the Egyptian uprising and widened their lead to five points ending The Pharaohs’ hopes to reach quarter-finals.

This marked Egypt’s third defeat after losing to Denmark 35-28 and Sweden 33-26. The team also claimed three victories in the championship over Bahrain, Qatar and Argentina.
