KingFut rounds up group stage matches of the 2017 , taking place in , as Tunisia have booked their place in the quarter finals.

Zimbabwe vs Tunisia

Tunisia have paved their way towards the quarterfinals after thoroughly handling Zimbabwe. The Tunisians started the game in a perfect way, giving their opponents no chance to cause any problems. Naim Sliti put Tunisia into their lead after 10 minutes . Youssef Mskani doubled his side’s lead in the 22nd minute before Khenissi scored the third goal 14 minutes later. Musona pulled one back for Zimbabwe two minutes before the end of the first half. One minute later, Tunisia were awarded a penalty, Wahbi Khazri stepped up and scored Tunisia’s fourth goal.

In the second half, Zimbabwe scored a consolidation goal through Ndoro in the 58th minute.

Tunisia ended the group stage in the second place with six points, one point behind the leaders Senegal. The Eagles of Carthage will face Burkina Faso in the quarter finals

Senegal vs Algeria

Algeria have been knocked out of the tournament without recording a single victory in the group stages as they drew with Senegal 2-2. The Algerians took an early lead through Islam Slimani after 10 minutes, however Popa Diob scored the equalizer for Senegal one minute before the end of the first half. Slimani was in the thick of the action again as he scored Algeria’s second goal in the 52nd minute, but Algeria’s lead lasted only for two minutes as Moussa Sow managed to bring Senegal level.

Algeria finished the group stage in the third place to get eliminated with just two points. Senegal, who secured their qualification from the second round, will face Cameroon in the quarter final.
