Egypt and AS Roma forward Mohamed Salah expressed his happiness for The Pharaohs’ qualification to the quarter-finals after beating Ghana in the last group stage match in the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

The national team managed to defeat Ghana on Wednesday 1-0 to sit on top of Group D after Mohamed Salah blasted a smashing free-kick granting Egypt an important victory in Stade de Port-Gentil.

“Beating Ghana and qualifying to the next round as Group D leaders is more important than me scoring a goal,” Salah said to On Sport TV channel after the match.

“All the players gave good efforts during the game so we can win this match and make our fans in Egypt happy,” he added.

The 2016 Best Arab Player of the Year and his teammates are now getting ready to face Group C runners-up Morocco in the knockout stage on Sunday.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.

Lol ok you discount rate Frenchie. Your best players arent even from your country, they are born and raised in france/spain and only play for you and your Algerian “brothers” when they cant make the france/spain national teams. You are freeloaders dancing happily when you pickup talent discarded elsewhere.
