Ramadan Sobhi spoke ahead of the Egypt’s clash against Morocco in the AFCON quarter final after ending the group stage top of Group E with 7 points.

Concerning the match-up against Morocco, Ramadan Sobhi stated that the players are determined to win regardless of the opponent, adding that the quarter final match won’t be easy:
“Of course the match will be tough, especially given that matches against North African teams usually have extra enthusiasm.”

“In the group stage, we could still make it to the next stage despite a draw or a loss. However, the quarter final is not the same, we only play to win”, added the 20-year-old player.

Egypt’s youngster Ramadan Sobhi said that he did not mean to object when he was subbed in Uganda’s match; explaining that he was upset and worried as the draw would have lessened the national team’s chances of qualifying.

In addition, he maintained that all players are professionals and can execute Cuper’s tactics. “There are no starters and substitutes in the national team; every player is a professional”, added Sobhi.

“Most of the team’s current players have not played against Morocco before, yet we are preparing well for this game and everyone is concentrating. We have passed the Ghana match and everyone’s concern now is winning”.

A medical student who loves football. Any free time I have is usually dedicated to football. I support Al Ahly and Real Madrid (Al Ahly comes first of course). Contrary to popular belief, I believe that females enjoy football as much as males do; I am a living proof :D Proud that I am writing for King Fut.
