OFFICIAL: Montpellier sign Sundowns’ Keagan Dolly
Mamelodi Sundowns’ Keagan Dolly has completed a move to Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier, the French club have announced on Friday.
Montpellier have signed Kegan Dolly from the Africa Champions League winners for a fee of £1.5m, with the South African international signing a four-and-a-half year contract.
The 24-year-old came through the youth setup of the South African side and made over 60 appearances for them, scoring ten goals and providing 11 assists.
Dolly was part of the historic 2016 Sundowns side that won the treble, the South African Premier League and Cup, and the 2016 Champions League, when they beat Zamalek 3-1 in the final.
Keagan Dolly has been subject of interest for Al Ahly but it was previously revealed that the player has no interest in joining the Cairo giants.
As Kingfut exclusively reported, Greek side Olympiacos were also keen on Dolly, but they failed to sign the 2016 Champions League winner.
Dolly will become the first South African player to play for the French side and will wear the number 20 shirt.
