RELIVE: Egypt beat Morocco in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final
KingFut covers the live action as Egypt take on Morocco in a highly-anticipated North African derby, at the quarter-final stage of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Egypt qualified as Group D winners after sealing a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ghana in the final round of group stage matches.
Morocco, meanwhile, finished second in Group C, which saw the shock elimination of reigning champions Côte d’Ivoire- a 1-0 loss to former boss Herve Renard’s Morocco was the last nail in the West Africans’ coffin in this edition of the tournament.
Both sides have relied on a tight backline to secure a string of positive results, and it would be unwise to expect a sweeping display of attacking football on Sunday night; rather, both managers will be locked in an intense tactical battle as they look to seal a semi-final berth for their respective teams.
