Saudi club Al Batin announced the termination of Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hamoudi’s contract ahead of his move to Al Ahly

The club released a statement informing their fans that the board of directors decided to terminate Hamoudi’s contract, and that he has signed a contract with Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

The club have had issues with the 26-year-old player after he travelled to Cairo without informing them, and they even filed a complaint to FIFA against him.

Hamoudi joined the Saudi side last September following the termination of his contract with Basel and made ten appearances for them, scoring once and assisting twice.

The former Smouha player spent the last season at Zamalek on loan from Basel, making 19 appearances for them and scoring 4 goals across all competitions. He helped the Whites reaching the African Champions League final as well as winning the Egypt Cup.
