El-Hadary: I don’t care about any personal records
Egypt international goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary believes that the current generation could win the 2017 AFCON, adding that they are as same as the golden generation.
The 44-year-old made history becoming the oldest player to ever feature in the Africa Cup of Nations, but he stated that he doesn’t care about any personal records.
“I don’t care about any personal records or achievements the Egyptian national team is more important,” Essam El-Hadary said ahead of the Burkina Faso game.
“I played with many generations and the current one has the same characteristics as the golden generation but they lack experience.
“They still can win trophies, gain experience and win this tournament,” he concluded.
The Pharaohs are set to face Burkina Faso in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals on Wednesday, January 1 in Libreville at Stade de l’Amitié.
