Zambian striker has been fined by for reporting late to the team’s training camp.

Mayuka returned late to the team’s training camp after leaving Egypt following the Whites’ loss against Al Ahly on the 29th of December, hence the fine.

Chairman of the board, Mortada Mansour, told the press that the fine was worth one million Egyptian Pounds ($50,000).

With the future of the former Southampton striker obviously becoming uncertain after Zamalek acquired Egyptian Premier league top scorer Hossam Paulo, it is believed he was out to secure a move elsewhere.

Papers in his country, Zambia, had even reported that Zamalek terminated their contract with Mayuka. However, he denied them by posting photos in training on Instagram.

The club failed to get rid of Mayuka in their books after finding out that they would have to compensate him with a fee close to $400,000 and have even registered him in the CAF Champions League squad.
