Odion Ighalo joins Chinese Super League Changchun Yatai
Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo joined Chinese Super League outfit Changchun Yatai permanently from Premier League side Watford as confirmed by the English club.
The player put an end to his time with the Hornets after playing for the club for two-and-a-half years. He joined Watford coming on loan from Granada in July 2014, a move which was made permanent three months later after he was bought from Udinese.
The 27-year-old striker scored 39 goals in 100 appearances, yet he only scored thrice in his last 37 appearances and lost his position as Watford’s starting striker. The Nigerian international move is reported to be around £20 million.
Watford official website thanked the player and wished him the best of luck for his future career.
