Zamalek announce squad for Egyptian Super Cup

Zamalek manager Ahmed Helmy has announced the 24-man squad that will face rivals Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup next Friday.

The White Knights will look for revenge against arch rivals Al Ahly, who beat them 2-0 in the league, when they travel to Abu Dhabi to face them on February 10 in the Egyptian Super Cup.

Helmy decided to include Ahmed El-Shennawy in match list even though he was injured against Mali, while Shikabala, Mohamed Magdy, Mohamed Mossad, Ali Fathi, Hosni Fathi, and Emmanuel Mayuka miss out due to injures and technical reasons.

The 54-year-old has also decided to include Hossam Paulo, Ayman Hefny, Mahmoud Dunga, and Zamalek youngster Ahmed Aboul-Fetouh, who returned from his loan at Egyptian Premier League side ENPPI.

Zamalek squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Omar Salah, Mahmoud Gennesh.

Defenders: Mohamed Nassef, Islam Gamal, Osama Ibrahim, Shawky El-Said, Ahmed Aboul-Fetouh, Ali Gabr, Mahmoud Hamdi.

Midfielders: Moruf Youssef, Ibrahim Salah, Ahmed Refaat, Salah Rico, Mohamed Ibrahim, Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Dunga, Ahmed Tawfik, Mostafa Fathi, Ayman Hefny.

Strikers: Ahmed Gaafar, Stanley Ohawuchi, Bassem Morsi, Hossam Paulo.
