Wadi Degla winger Karim Mamdouh will remain at the Egyptian Premier League side after his loan deal to CD Nacional has fallen through.

The 23-year-old was set to join Portuguese side CD Nacional during the winter transfer window on loan until the end of the season, but the move collapsed.

Ahmed Sayed ‘Zizo’, who joined the Portuguese side on loan from Belgian side Lierse, will now be the only Egyptian at CD Nacional after Aly Ghazal moved to Chinese Super League side Guizhou Zhicheng and Mamdouh’s move collapsed.

Mamdouh made nine appearances for Wadi Degla across all competitions this season, assisting twice. He made one international appearance with the Pharaohs, making his international debut against Libya in a friendly in Jan. 2016.

The Portuguese side are currently struggling in the Primeira Liga as they sit at the bottom of the table on 13 points from 20 games.

In addition to being a football/soccer and basketball enthusiast, I am currently pursuing a combined BS/MD degree at VCU. I also currently work as a Pharmacy Technician in my spare time.
