Ministry of Sports announce new Al Ahly board of directors
Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel-Aziz has announced on Wednesday the new formation of Al Ahly’s board of directors.
Abdel-Aziz had declared earlier in the day that the ministry will appoint a new board of directors for the Red Devils, following a meeting with the Egyptian cabinet.
Al Ahly president Mahmoud Taher remained in his position with Mostafa Kamel Zaher, Emad Wahid, Mohannad Magdy, Kamel Zaher and Marwan Hesham have also kept their posts as board members. However, a new figure joined the board as Mohamed Gamal Holaiel replaced the departing Mohamed Abdel-Wahab as one of the members.
Abdel-Aziz previously appointed a board of directors for Al Ahly in 2016 after the Egyptian Supreme Administrative Court announced its dissolving following a breach in the elections’ procedure.
