Egypt international Mohamed Elneny has described Arsenal as his home, adding that all the players are only focusing on competing for all of the available titles.

The 24-year-old made his first appearance for the Gunners since his departure for the Africa Cup of Nations as a 69-minute substitute in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Hull City at the Emirates on Saturday.

Elneny, who Arsène Wenger spoke about saying “it’s a pleasure to work with him”, starred for Egypt in Gabon during the AFCON, playing four games and scoring once against Cameroon in the final game.

“Back here, I feel I am in my home. We are one family and you work really hard with people who really love you,” Elneny said.

“That made me adapt quickly, and helped me to start training immediately as I felt that the team really needs me now. I don’t want a vacation or a time off, I want to work hard and play with the team.

“Everything is going fine here. We all love our coach and we don’t concentrate on anything other than the next game. All our focus is on compete for all of the available titles including the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League so that we can achieve something together.

“That’s why beating Hull was so important, because we have an important Champions League game coming up. It means we will now travel with confidence on our side and that is extremely important before a big game like this,” he concluded.

It’s worth mentioning that Arsenal’s next game will be against German side Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Allianz Arena on Wednesday, February 15.
