Egypt U-20 name 2017 AFCON squad

Egypt U-20 manager Metmed Gamal has announced his squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Zambia this February.

The Pharaohs were drawn in group A alongside hosts Zambia, Guinea, and Mali, with the top two teams advance to the semi-finals and qualify for the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea.

The squad witnesses the inclusion of Al Ahly’s promising stars and after the Red Devils decided to let them join the national team, and Zamalek’s fullback Ahmed Abo El-Fotouh, who made his debut against Entag last Wednesday.

The squad:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Ghandour (Al Ahly), Omar Wael Radwan (El-Sharkia)*, Mostafa Mahmoud (El-Giesh).

Defenders: Ahmed Abo El-Fotouh (Zamalek), Ahmed Hany (Ismaily), Omar Saadawy, Mostafa Faramawy (Tanta)*, Osama Galal (Petrojet)**.

Midfielders: Mahmoud Marei (Wadi Degla), Ahmed Mostafa, Mohamed Abdel-Salam (Petrojet), Nasser Maher (Petrojet)*, Karim Nedved, Akram Tawfik, Ahmed Hamdy, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham (Al Ahly), Mahmoud Samy (Dakhelya), Taher Mohamed (Le Havre).

Forwards: Khalil ‘Neymar’ Elnouby (FC Zürich), Mostafa Mohamed (Dakhelya)***, Omar Marmoush (Wadi Degla).

    Egyptian players should really stop using names of other big football players like Nedved, Beckham, Neymar, etc. It looks and sounds so unprofressional!
