Egypt’s Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba scored in Ittihad’s 2-0 win over Al Shabab in gameweek 19 of the Saudi Professional League on Saturday.

Second-half goals from Adnan Fallatah and Kahraba helped Ittihad earn all three points. They are now level on 41 points with second-placed Al-Nasr. Al Shabab remain fifth in the league standings on 26 points.

The first half of the game, which was held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium ended in a 0-0 draw. Fallatah opened the scoring for Ittihad around the one-hour mark as he headed home after an assist from Ahmed Akaichi.

Kahraba had three scoring opportunities that were either blocked or sailed wide. His attempts paid off in the 73rd minute as Akaichi’s cross found the Egyptian midfielder, who slotted home to double his side’s lead.

The Egypt international, who is on loan from Cairo giants Zamalek, made way for Rabeaa Sefiani eight minutes from time.

The 22-year-old is currently the second-leading scorer of the Saudi league with 13 goals, six away from Al Ahli striker Omar Al Somah, who occupy the top position.
