Ahmed Yasser scores first goal in debut with Al Mina’a
Egyptian striker Ahmed Yasser scored his first goal with Al Mina’a on his debut with the team in a friendly match.
Al Mina’a defeated Al Masafi in a friendly match in Al Basra thanks to Yasser’s only goal sealing a 1-0 win for his team.
Yasser is on loan from Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry on a six-month deal and moved to Iraq in January.
“This friendly match was a warmup before the team’s next match. Winning or losing will not make a difference,” Al Mina’a sports director Mohamed Nasr told Almirbad radio station. “It was also an important chance for new players to blend in, especially the Egyptian newcomer Ahmed Yasser.”
The 25-year-old started his senior career with Wadi Degla and moved to Lierse in 2013 before returning to Wadi Degla on loan and then moving permanently to Al Masry.
