VIDEO: Smouha edge Maqassa in seven-goal thriller



failed to win their second game in a row as they suffered a 4-3 defeat against Smouha in gameweek 19 of the Egyptian Premier League.

Ahmed Raouf opened the scoring for the Alexandrian side after 22 minutes before Paulin Voavy equalised for Maqassa in the 34th minunte.

Ahmed El-Sheikh then put the Fayoum-based side in front as he converted from the spot just before halftime.

Raouf needed only three minutes after the break to complete his brace and level for Smouha. The Alexandrian side regained their lead 20 minutes from time through Ahmed Hassan Mekki. However, El-Sheikh made it 3-3 after he sent a fine left-footed shot into the top corner.

As the game seemed to be headed for a draw, Mahmoud El-Sayed went one-on-one with the Maqassa keeper to score a last-gasp goal in the injury time and help his side secure all three points.

Smouha temporarily sit third in the league standings on 36 points, two ahead of Zamalek who have three games in hand. Maqassa, who drew against Tanta in gameweek 18, are second on 41 points.
